Here it is, short, sweet and to the point...
Who Told Andrew He is 2???
That is the only explanation I can find for the "behavior" that has been happening in my house. Someone told Andrew that he's two, and when you're two, you're supposed to act like a wild animal.
Trust me, whoever did this will be hunted, captured and tortured. Just so you know. Here is a short list of things he has done in the past few weeks: (this list is not inclusive as I have chosen to forget many things)
"NO" yes, he tells me "no". Not like "no mommy I don't want more macaroni." I'm talking "No. I won't, I don't want to, No way."
Standing on the same table that he's been told not to stand on more times than I can count.
Hitting.
Biting.
Yelling.
Spitting. Yes spitting, this is definitely one of my least favorite new habits.
Taken to calling me Marc. As if Marcie wasn't bad enough. I don't get it. I'm his MOMMY!!! This he is reminded of many times a day, but he. doesn't. care.
Taking his sister's pacifier and chucking it across the room simply "cuz". Yes he also now says "cuz" when you ask why he does things.
I'll stop here so that my description earlier of "wild animal" can be more imaginable to you than monster.
Oh, don't get me wrong though. He also is becoming so very sweet in his own little way:
"Peeeeeese. Mommy. I have it."
Kisses and hugs for all.
Drawing pictures on his aquadoodle for me. (When they dry, he assures me not to worry, he'll make another one some day.)
Singing to Marianne when she cries. (My personal favorite is Rock the Baby.)
Sharing his dinner....when he's done of course.
Wanting to be held. (This I try not to turn down as I know these days are ending soon.)
All in all, I just want to say, I'm the luckiest Mommy!

Fun things kids do.
It is official...we have a thumb sucker. I think it is so sweet, we'll see in a few years. She also loves her snuggle blankie!
As a side note, Lisa is doing VERY well. Also, my Grandpa is home from the hospital after a minor stroke caused by a broken "flap" in his heart.

Update
Just a super quick update for all.
LISA IS HOME!!!!! Praise the Lord, all is going well for her. She is tired, but doing very well.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to Jerry and Carolyn Bush!!! 44 years is a long time. Congratulations.
PLEASE PRAY:
Two very special people are now in the arms of Jesus. Lisa's Aunt Louise (who was much like a mother to her) passed away this week. Please pray for Loren who is left behind and the rest of the family. Also, please pray for Lisa as she would love to be with the family during this time.
Also, Paul Smith, a dear friend of our family passed away last night surrounded by his loving family and wife Pat. Please pray for them.
CAN WE PRAY FOR YOU?
If there's anything we can pray for you about, we'd be honored to approach the throne of grace on your behalf.

Rock Star Princess
I'd put a picture of Andrew up today also, but he has spent to much time in "time out" to actually get a picture of him today. He is trying to set a record I think. I do not know what has gotten into that boy today, but it best be leaving before he gets up from his nap!!!!
Lisa has been moved to a "regular" hospital room, which means no more shunt in her brain!!! Praise God from Whom ALL blessings flow!!!

Tired, Helping, Growing, News and a THANK YOU!
Well, here I am sitting in a mostly quiet house. Four children are quiet, not sleeping yet, but quiet. Well, Andrew is asleep, or should I say "crashed out." He has had so much fun having Lizzy and Katie around, but the little boy is just not used to so much activity. We lead a pretty quiet life around here....but not recently!!! He is sooooooo tired! Lizzy is doing great being so much help with the younger kids and trying not to get in trouble for bossing them around. She's so grown up for an 8 year old! Katie is doing well...she's a big girl now and proud of it. She has almost mastered the big girl potty! She has totally mastered tattle tailing!!! What fun.
Lisa is doing well, all things considered. She is eating a little bit and getting some rest with the help of some good old fashion pain killers. Jon, too, is doing well. He's not so good at sitting around, but ever the faithful husband, is at her side. Jon and the girls are itching for some time together, which we will hopefully work out tomorrow. Please continue to pray for Lisa as she heals. Please pray for pain control, the lining around the brain to heal, and a continued lack of drainage and infection!
God is so good! We thank you all so much for your prayers.....Also, a great big thank you to whoever was so gracious to us last night. Someone purchased dinner from Pizza Hut for our family. We don't know who you are, but please know that you were a huge blessing to us all.

Praise so far.
First Thank you for the prayers. They mean so much. The Doctor just came out to tell us the surgery is done. He said it went well. She is in the icu now. Not talking yet but responding. They removed 2 tumors. Please continue to pray for Lisa that the pain will be minimal, No bleeding, Quick healing, No brain/spinal fluid leakage, minimal swelling, no infections. For Jon peace and strength through the healing process. Splitting time between work, Lisa and the kids. For the Kids peace and comfort. It's is still a long road, the better part of a week in the icu and some time in the hospital after that. We will try to keep you posted. Thank you in advance for your PRAYERS they are greatly appreciated. From All of the Bush Family.

Prayer Please
I'll keep it short and to the point. Some of you know, and some don't, that our sister-in-law, Lisa is having brain surgery on Friday. She will be having a tumor removed. Surgery starts at 9:00am and is scheduled to last 5 hours. Please pray for this awesome family. Specific requests include:
Peace in all hearts
Skill of the surgeon
Easy closure (because of radiation, this may be tricky)
No after surgery complications
Quick recovery
For the girls, (Lizzy 8, and Katie 3), that they would do well with Mom in the hospital and Dad going back and forth.
Our hearts are heavy with this matter, please help us with this burden by joining us in prayer. I will post on Friday when I know how the surgery goes. Thanks!

Seriously...
Its time to vent. I've had enough. Something must change.....Ok, so I know that this is doing no good, so on with the story of the day.
I went to Family Fare today. Its Monday, that's what I do. They have their reusable grocery bags on sale this week Buy Two Get Three Free. What a better time to stock up, right? So I go through the store with my screaming baby and hungry two year old. (Yes, he was hungry, big surprise right? No, I'm not above bribing him to be good with the free popcorn they have at the store!) I grab my 5 reusable GREEN (in more ways than one) grocery bags and head to the check out.
Here is where my griping begins....
The bagger guy starts loading up my new bags with my groceries.....the only problem is......he puts my stuff in a PLASTIC bag before putting it in the reusable....
Does anyone else see this as pointless, dumb and counterproductive?????? Seriously, every meat item I purchased, which was more than two this week, was put into its own separate plastic bag and then put in the reusable. I am certain this is not GREEN! (Not that I'm all about being green, just trying to help the environment in a few places.) I am also certain that I've bought more than one package of meat before and had it all put in one plastic sack.
I got home and counted my bags.
5 Reusable
8 (yes 8) plastic bags (I only bought 5 meat products.....)
3 paper
Pretty sure that 5 reusable and 2 plastic (for the meat) would have been enough.
Ok, so now that I've complained and no one really cares....I'll continue to use my reusable bags and yes, I'll continue to complain about the baggers at Family Fare.
Pretty much what I'm saying is that I've wasted my time whining and yours reading...please accept my apology.....I'm happy to put it in a plastic sack for you.
