Confessions of a Mommy

So I want to hear 'em. What are your confessions, you know, your hidden little secrets that get you through the day? Every day, tough days, cloudy days, what ever kind of days need little secrets. I'll start with just a few, then leave a comment so we all can share them together. Who knows, maybe your confession will save a worn out Mommy:
1. I have mini frozen candy bars in my freezer (often) I thaw one out while doing my last little chore, then sit and savor....and I don't share.

2. I allow my son to watch a movie EVERY DAY during rest time...cuz if there's no movie, there's no resting and that's not good!

3. I make my daughter wear a bow of some kind in her hair every day....that way when she's 16 and won't let me touch her hair....I'll have had my fix.

4. I check my email and facebook way to often...just hoping for a little message.

5. I plan on accomplishing NOTHING one day each week. Makes that day feel a lot more productive.

Really, leave a comment. Let us know how you make it through the days.

  1. My one vice is putting a can of Coke in the freezer to motivate me through some to-do's before relaxing with a very cold Coke. :) However, I may have to copy you with the candy bars and movie. Hmm...

  2. We go outside almost everyday around 4 because those last 30 minutes before daddy comes home are L.O.N.G.

I also do her hair because I want her used to me doing it...and she will be doing it when she's 16 ;)

She watches a cartoon sometimes when I am trying to put him down for a nap...we've gone through too many times of her being WAAAY too loud and having to restart the soothing process. Oh, and he goes down three times a day...you do the math on the amount of cartoons.

I sneak candy in the kitchen(with a cupboard door open for a sheild), because if she sees me, then I'll have to share!

She gets V8 Splash juice regularly (okay, almost everyday) and I count it as a vegetable serving.

Sometimes I shower or bathe with her because it accomplishes two things at once. One day she'll get big and I won't be able to multitask this, so while she's little, we're doing it! Oh and on really bad days, I do because we're both calm and it's sometimes the only fun time we have together.

    Good post! I'll keep thinking...

  3. My secrets...

I LIVE for naps and bed time. I love my kids, but I need my quiet! I let Connor play his leapster instead of napping and when I've been putting Gwynn back in bed for an hour straight...I lock her door from the outside until she falls asleep.

I love Connor's Wii time as much as he does.

I check Facebook way too much too.

Those are the little things that get me through the day. I can't wait to have a fenced in back yard so the kiddos can go out and play!
